December 23, 2022 - Week 16

Hello Dale Street!

Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals!

Will was recognized for demonstrating our Core Values of Respect, Compassion, and Continuous Growth.

Kate was recognized for being a leader during a challenging time.

Fifth graders had an opportunity to demonstrate their engineering skills in the Makerspace with Mr. Ahern this week. Students worked collaboratively to plan and build a moving vehicle using parts from the VexGo kits. Click here to view more designs. Creativity was very evident in the design process!  Huge thank you to our amazing MCPE for funding this awesome learning tool.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the PTO for providing the Dale Street staff with an amazing holiday luncheon on Tuesday!  The luncheon (catered by Jessy Nejm) was delicious and very much appreciated!

Positive Sign Thursday!
WE MODEL COMPASSION!

Thank you to all who helped to make our Dale Street Toy Drive for the Medfield Home Committee so successful!

Grade 4 students recently finished an Explorer unit in class and participated in an extension activity with Mrs. Lowerre in the Makerspace.  These students are amazing and their creative work with their bottle buddies is awesome!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Flea Market.  There were so many great items for sale and a lot of enthusiastic shoppers.  The Flea Market raised over $5,000 for the Medfield Home Committee. Wow!  Thank you to all of the students, families, and staff who supported this wonderful cause. #compassion

Thank you to these amazing Dale Street string musicians, under the direction of Mrs. Evens, for sharing holiday music to start the day on Thursday.

This week, students in Ms. Isaacson's fourth-grade class started their unit on fractions.  Students loved using math manipulatives to explore. It was impressive to observe what students noticed and discovered!
