Hello Dale Street families,
The first few weeks of the school year are behind us, and it has been a really great start to the year. I hope both you and your child are settling into the school year and finding your routines. Dale Street has been buzzing with learning, fun, and connections, and it's been wonderful to see students engaged and thriving in their classrooms and activities. Please take a few minutes to scroll through this week's blog to check out some of the highlights from this week, along with important dates, times, and information about upcoming events.
Positive Sign Thursday!
'YOU BELONG!'
This week, classrooms began to visit the Library and participated in a scavenger hunt. We are excited to introduce our new Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Leah Beaudoin. We're looking forward to the positive impact Mrs. Beaudoin will have on our Library, our Makerspace, and our learning community!
PreK-5 Spirit Day - Mark Your Calendars
On Friday, September 13th, all are invited to participate in our first PreK-5 Spirit Day of the school year. The theme is Patriots Spirit Day and students/staff are encouraged to wear their Patriots gear or red, white, and blue to celebrate the first home game of the season. Go Pats!
This week, grade 4 students in Mrs. Flynn's class had the opportunity to 'taste' a lot of different books from different genres in their classroom libraries. What a creative and fun experience for students!
Dale Street is looking for volunteers (one representative and one alternate from each classroom) who would like to talk with their classmates about concerns/initiatives in their classroom or the school. These concerns/initiatives are discussed and tackled at our meetings in an effort to make our school a better place. If your child is interested, here is the information they need to know. All completed letters of interest are due by Friday, September 13th, and should be turned in to the student's classroom teacher.
School Picture Day is Wednesday, September 18th! More information to follow.
¡Nos conocemos! This week in World Language with Señora LeVangie students in Grade 4 introduced themselves to their classmates and then played name Bingo.
