April 28, 2023 - Week 31

 Greetings Dale Street Families,

What a fabulous week back!  The students and staff transitioned smoothly and there were so many exciting events happening around #beproudbedale this week.  Take a look.....

On Wednesday, the students and staff at Dale Street celebrated Administrative Professional's Day and our two fabulous Administrative Professionals, Mrs. Gilberti and Mrs. Malmquist.  These two incredible people do so much for the students, families, and staff at Dale Street and we are so fortunate to have them!

This week our Grade 4 classes continued participating in our awesome SEED science lessons.  Check out Ms. Isaacson's students engaged in dissecting owl pellets.  Special thanks to Dr. Bless and Dr. Pearl. Students and teachers love the interactive learning experiences!

Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals!

This week all Grade 5 students participated in a really cool STEM (coding) lesson with Mr. Ahern.  Students enjoyed working collaboratively to design a sequence of commands to replicate the vintage game pong.

In an effort to promote random acts of kindness, Dale Street will have a Flower Power Day. On Friday, May 5, 2023, all students are asked to bring in a flower of their choice.  This can be a flower from a garden or a store-bought flower.  Each classroom will be filling vases with the flowers brought in to create a beautiful bouquet.  We will have an assembly about kindness and “filling people’s buckets”.  We will then distribute the flowers to members of our Dale Street Community.  Students and staff are encouraged to wear floral prints and/or bright colors.  Participation is optional.

Thank you for supporting this “kind” event!

Mrs. Guiteriez's fourth-grade students used everyday logos to find lines of symmetry during math this week.  Students were energized by this real-world connection.
