Hello Dale Street,

There is no school tomorrow (3/25) for students.  Enjoy the long weekend.

Bravo to all of the fifth grade students who participated in last Friday's Talent Show.  Each act was truly fantastic!  Special thanks to all of the students and families who came to the show.  We greatly appreciate your support.  Thank you to Talent Show director, Mr. Mason for all of his dedication to the show!

Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals!
Thank you for making the Dale Street School such a great place!

Mr. Mason's students spent time this week designing structures while learning about the engineering design process.  What talented students!

Congratulations to the Dale Street's 5 DI team
DI teams from the Dale Street School made an excellent showing at the regional DI Tournament held on March 19th. One of our teams is advancing and will present this Saturday, March 26th at WPI, Worcester. Spectators are welcome....so please consider taking a ride to WPI and supporting the Dale Street DI team and our other Medfield school teams!

The remainder of our fourth grade classrooms had the opportunity to attend the Museum of Science Animal Adaptation presentation this week.

The students enjoyed this PTO sponsored event.

Thank you to all of the Dale Street parents and guardians who were able to attend Parent/Teacher conferences over the past two weeks.  The lines of communication between home and school must always remain open and strong.  If at any point during the remainder of the school year you feel that there is an area in your child’s education that needs to be addressed, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.  We strive to do our best to support the academic, social, and emotional  development of your child.
Mrs. Colleen Sullivan recently wrote a wonderful article in the Medfield Patch regarding Dale Street's Google Expedition visit last week.  If you didn't get the chance to see the article, you can view it here.

On Thursday, members of the Museum of Science visited our school and provided a presentation on Animal Encounters. Half of our grade 4 students (the other half will see the presentation next week) had the opportunity to hear some great information and check out some cool animal skulls.   A big thank you to our awesome PTO for funding this excellent experience!

On Tuesday, members of our Grade 4 team participated in a lesson study with math consultant, Shephali Fox.  Great display of continuous growth and learning!

On a visit to 4Douglas this week, students were using the computer program Nearpod to learn about active and dormant volcanoes.  As students were using this program, I overheard, "This is so cool!" multiple times.  Fun + Learning!
