Dear Dale Street Families,
With only a brief pause on Thursday, we have completed another busy week here at #beproudbedale. Students have been busy with academics, intramurals, community connections, and more. Take a look at some of the awesomeness from this week.
This morning Mr. Douglas' class and Mrs. Flynn's class facilitated a wonderful SEL (social-emotional learning) assembly. They discussed and acted our ways to fix a 'fixed midset' and offered ways to change them to a 'growth mindset.' They did an incredible job!
Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals!
Claire was recognized for exemplifying our Core Value of Compassion. |
Guy was recognized for being extremely helpful. |
Saige was recognized for being incredibly kind. |

Asher was recognized for demonstrating our core values. |
On Wednesday, students in Ms. Johnson's fifth-grade class learned about the importance of Veterans Day and wrote a letter to someone they know who has served.
Check out some of these fifth-grade figure paintings - I love seeing the awesome things Mrs. Delaney's art students produce.
The students and families at Dale Street filled 6 boxes of items for soldiers overseas. I am so proud of how the school community rallied around this Student Council initiative - Great job, everyone!
This week Grade 4 students in Ms. Plymton's class used some time to explore division and remainders - these students love to explore!
Parent/Teacher conferences are coming and conference dates are set for December 9th and 14th. Both days are early release days and conferences will be held via Zoom unless otherwise requested by a family. Classroom teachers will be reaching out to develop a schedule. Please reach out directly to your classroom teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
This week in the makerspace with Ms. Sweeney, Dale Street fifth graders used NASA's Eyes on the Solar System to research a planet and design a greenhouse for growing plants there. Great work!
For November, the PTO is asking the students at Dale to make thank you cards at home for the special members of their community. Some examples would be for the police station, fire station, librarians, department of public works, Park Street Books, the elderly at Tilden Village, or any other organization in town that helps make Medfield special! Please have the students drop off their cards at the main office at Dale by November 19. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Alice Jreige, PTO Community Service Coordinator at alice.jreige@gmail.com
