June 13, 2025 - Final Day

 Happy Summer, Dale Street Community!

What an amazing year! I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to all the students and staff members who have demonstrated hard work, a commitment to excellence, and an unwavering spirit each day to #beproudbedale.  It has been so great to see and so great to be a part of. I also want to thank all of the families for being a part of our journey.  It most certainly takes a village!  Please enjoy the final blog of the '24-'25 school year.

Congratulations to our 5th graders!

On Wednesday, our Grade 5 students participated in Dale Street's Grade 5 Celebration. It was a great event!  Special thanks to Mrs. Caulfield - your message was fabulous, and all of the students who spoke/sang at the ceremony - you crushed it! Here are a few snapshots from the day.

Report Cards are now available for viewing on the Aspen Parent Portal.

5th grade students in Sra. Spittel’s Spanish class presented their research on an animal from a Spanish-speaking country as part of their final project from our Galapagos unit!

K-5 Medfield Public Schools is excited to share information about our carnival-themed summer reading program! Summer reading is both fun and important. We are hoping for high participation numbers in our program this year. Mr. Grenham and Mrs. Beaudoin presented the Dale Street summer reading challenges to all incoming fourth graders and soon-to-be fifth graders.

Summer Reading Tracker: Click here for student tracking sheet.  This should be turned in within the first two weeks of school.

Instructional Video: Click this link for an informational video walking students/parents through the program.

If the video does not work here is the presentation:  Directions Slideshow

Medfield Public Schools also promotes the Medfield Public Library Summer Reading program.  This program has great activities and incentives for students to participate in all summer long! Click here for more information about the public library summer reading program.

Always an awesome afternoon at the Grade 5 Yearbook Signing! 📘✨ So many smiles and memories as our students celebrate a fantastic year together!

On Tuesday, Ray Sharlarken, whose wife, Darla, served as the Dale Street librarian from 2009–2015, visited Dale Street to read a story and made a generous donation to our library. We are very appreciative of his time, kindness, and continued support of our readers! 📚💙

Although summer is an essential time for students to relax and unwind, it is also a fantastic time for them to process and apply what they have learned so they can make mathematical connections. Check out our new elementary math website where you can find resources and information to support your mathematician all summer long!

School Supply Kits for Dale Street Elementary students are now available for purchase. Click the link below and choose the grade your child will be entering for the 2025-26 school year. These school supply kits will be delivered to your child's 4th or 5th-grade classroom for the start of school. A portion of the proceeds goes back to our elementary school PTOs. https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/gs/48607

MCPE thanks you, the wonderful families of Medfield Public Schools, for your contributions and support towards an impactful and fun school year! MCPE was thrilled to have granted approximately $75,000 across all five schools this year, including the spring cycle in which we were able to award eight grants totalling over $42,300 thanks to all of your support! To learn more about MCPE’s work this past year, see our Annual Report

We wish everyone a healthy and fun summer break - and we will see you at Fall Fest on October 17th!

I hope you all have a wonderful summer! Good luck to the rising 6th graders as they begin a new adventure at Blake or another school, and we look forward to seeing our rising 5th graders next year!!

With gratitude,
