Hello Dale Street Community!
Wow, what an incredible week! Please take a minute to scroll through this week's blog to see the awesome things our rockstars students and staff were involved in and stay up to date for upcoming events.
On Thursday, grade 5 students in Mrs. Chamblin's class participated in a hands-on science experiment creating storms to explore beach erosion. Huge thanks to the MCPE for funding this awesome grade 5 grant!
Congratulations to Dale Street's Artist of the Month, Ben from Ms. Hayes' class.
The SEPAC Board needs YOU! Our annual elections are coming up, and we need parents & caregivers with children in the Medfield School district who have an IEP or 504 to take on roles. If you were looking for a sign to get involved, this is it! We have three members rolling off the board and need people to fill spots. Please contact sepac@email.medfield.net for more information.
SEPAC Upcoming Events: Sometimes, there's a perception that a child's disability/diagnosis needs to present in a certain way or severity to join SEPAC, but SEPAC is for EVERYONE. So please mark your calendars for our spring Workshops & Parent Connection Groups:
5/1 Dyslexia + Language-Based Learning Disabilities (LBLD) Parent Connection Group - 7 pm Medfield Public Safety Building
5/14 ADHD Parent Connection Group, 7 pm, Medfield Public Safety Building
5/16 Down Syndrome Parent Connection Group, 11:30 am Medfield Public Library
5/21 High School Transition Planning w/ Meredith Becker and Stephanie Worthley - 7 pm Blake Middle School Library
RSVP to SEPAC@email.medfield.net or by completing the RSVP form: https://forms.gle/SeeQg6Apmngad5dq7. Please email sepac@email.medfield.net with questions or to join a group. If you want to connect with a parent with experience with a diagnosis not covered by our current parent connection groups, don't hesitate to contact us, and we'll work to find someone to connect with.

Could you design the perfect personalized backpack? With the help of the Design Thinking process our Dale Street 4th graders are busy doing just that. So excited to see their final designs!

Do you know a Medfield teacher or staff member at any Medfield Public School who has made a positive impact in a student's life? MCPE's Blue Ribbon Recognition Program is the perfect way to honor their efforts and show your appreciation! By making a donation to MCPE in their name, you can recognize their hard work and dedication to our students.
And what better time to participate in the program than during Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week? This is a thoughtful and easy way to recognize the important role these individuals play in shaping our children's future. Let's show our gratitude and make a difference in our school community by participating in the Blue Ribbon Recognition Program today!
Click here to submit your Blue Ribbon Recognition!
All submissions are due by Friday, May 10.
Please save the date of Tuesday, June 11th at 9:30 a.m. for Dale Street's Grade 5 Celebration. This year, the Grade 5 Celebration will take place on the basketball court outdoors and we are hoping for dry and nice weather. Grade 5 families are welcome and we are asking that all guests bring a lawn chair for seating in an area off the pavement. If there is inclement weather on this day, the celebration will be held in the gymnasium. If this is the case, we will only be able to welcome 2 guests per family for the celebration.
Fifth graders were engaged with coding the new MCPE-funded Sphero RVR+ robots during their tech time with Mr. Ahern this week. Along with learning how to program the robots to move, students were challenged to build a ramp for the RVRs to cross. Great coding & engineering skills 5th graders!
