PreK-5 Spirit Day on January 12th - Hero Day

On Friday, January 12th, Grade 4 and 5 students and staff will be invited to

dress up like their hero or wear an item of clothing that promotes a positive message such as Be Kind, Kindness Matters, etc… Students will be learning that a hero is someone who is special because of the brave, good, or kind things that they have done. We will celebrate Hero Day by having a school-wide assembly during which one student from each classroom will be reading about their hero.

Positive Sign Thursday!

THIS IS YOUR YEAR TO SPARKLE!!!

DIBELS

During the week of January 16th, students in Grades 4 and 5 will be

participating in our second administration of the DIBELS assessment. The DIBELS (Dynamic Indicator of Basic Early Literacy Skills) assessment consists of quick tasks to help monitor the development of early literacy and early reading skills. Data results from the assessment are used to inform classroom and individual instruction.

Early Release - January 23rd - Staff Professional Development

On Tuesday, January 23rd, there will be an early release day (11:40 a.m.) for staff professional development. Dale Street Staff members will be participating in PD to continue to support this year’s adoption of the Illustrative Math program.

This week in World Language with Señora LeVangie, fourth graders conducted short interviews (Entrevistas breves) with each other questions about their families. If the answer is yes, students sign here (firma aquí).
