February 1, 2019 - Week 22

Hello Dale Street Families!

Check out this recent article that appeared in Wicked Local Medfield.
On Thursday, Mrs. Crable's fourth grade students used fraction stations to gain a deeper understanding of fractions.

Valentine's Day is fast approaching....very exciting!  In an effort to ensure safety for all of our students and staff, we are requesting that no food/candy be sent in with Valentine's cards. The Head Room Parent will be coordinating this effort.  Please keep food and drink to these four categories: something crunchy, something sweet, healthy fruit, and water. Additionally, please be sensitive of allergies within classrooms.  The snack time and the Valentine's themed activities will take place at different times depending on students’ schedules and will be planned/overseen by classroom teachers. Thank you in advance for your assistance to help create a fun and safe day at Dale Street!

On a visit to Ms. Hayes’ fourth grade classroom, I had the good fortune of hearing this awesome student’s passion project. It was very informative and timely.  The topic....history of the Super Bowl.

Anything better than these smiles?  These rock stars from Ms. Costello's fifth grade classroom showed their mastery of simplifying fractions by completing a BreakoutEDU.  So proud of their perseverance!
