October 4, 2024 - Week 6

Dear Dale Street Families,

Despite it being a short week, the #beproudbedale students and staff made the most of every moment.  As you will see, this past week was filled with exciting, productive, and fun activities.  Please take a moment to enjoy some highlights and stay informed about upcoming dates and events.

On Wednesday, students and staff participated in the PTO-sponsored Rainbow Run! It was an amazing day!  The weather, the music, and the smiles made for an incredible day.  This day would not have been possible without the efforts of Kelly Scobbo, Christen Franey, Seema Patel, Nicole Saulnier, Jill Warner, Katharine Schipani, all the PTO volunteers, and all the families who made pledges for the event. Thank you!

On Wednesday, Dale Street celebrated School Custodian Appreciation Day.  We are blessed to Mr. Johnson, Mr. Wilson, and Mr. Bailey for keeping our school and classrooms safe and clean! Your hard work creates a wonderful learning environment for our students and staff.

This week in World Language 4th graders took over el calendario (the calendar). These students were fantastic teachers!

Congratulations to this week's Positive Referral!

Congratulations to Dale Street's Artist of the Month, Madeline from Ms. Isaacson's class.

Dale Street's picture make-up/retake day is Friday, October 25th.

The Cape Club’s beautiful outdoor setting includes a cozy and chic new pavilion space with firepits and lots of room to lounge. Enjoy gathering with friends and neighbors for hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, fireside chats, dancing, a silent auction, and fundraising for Medfield Public Schools.

The Fall Ball is MCPE’s biggest fundraiser and only happens every two years! Be sure to get your tickets before they sell out.

Congratulations and thank you to our first Friday DJ's of the year!

Student Drop-Off Reminders

In the morning, students should visit the playground (if the weather cooperates) after they exit the bus, are dropped off, or put their bike in the bike rack.  If you are dropping off or your child is riding their bike to school, please remember that there is no supervision until 8:10 a.m.  We ask that you do not drop off before this time.  Thank you!

This week in Science students in Mrs. Chamblin's fifth-grade class explored how shadows change shape in different seasons based on the tilt of the Earth. Great hands-on activity!

As our Lost and Found bin grows, please take a moment to label your child’s
belongings. We have several water bottles, sweatshirts, and coats that remain
unclaimed. Thank you in advance for your help.
