September 15, 2023 - Week 3

Happy Friday Dale Street!

Our first five-day school week was fantastic! The week included Open House, engaging learning opportunities, our first Spirit Day, and the start of our student-led Daily Dale newscast. I couldn't be prouder of our rockstar students and staff. Enjoy as you take a closer look at the moments from this week as well as stay informed regarding some upcoming events...

On Tuesday night, Dale Street held an Open House for all students and their families.  It was an awesome evening that highlighted the importance of the family and school partnership. We are so lucky to have had such great attendance at Open House.  Thank you to all who came out to learn about your child's classroom and the Dale Street School.

This week Ms. DiPesa's and Mrs. Gutierrez's fourth-grade classes 'tasted' or sampled at least 1 book from each of the genre bins at each table. All books are in their classroom library, and they recorded books they want to read in the future in their Reader’s Notebooks.

Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals!

Red, orange, yellow, green....the 2nd Annual Medfield K-5 Rainbow Run is September 26th @ Wheelock & September 27th @ Dale & Memorial!! All students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will run/walk during the school day on a rainbow-filled track. The music will be rocking, the rainbow gear is ready to go and that is just the beginning of the fun!

We are ready - now it is your turn. Head to https://secure.frontstream.com/medfield-k-5-pto-rainbow-run-2023 to register your student for free and learn all about the activities, prizes, and how your support continues to make a difference in our schools.

Guess What???? Students taped the first episodes of our student-led Daily Dale this week. Our students are AMAZING!

A new school year is upon us: new classrooms, new teachers, and new opportunities to make a difference. The Medfield Coalition for Public Education (MCPE) is thrilled to begin another year fundraising with this amazing community, and supporting the incredible Medfield Public Schools!

First up, Fall Fest is back! On Friday, October 20 join us at The German Club in Walpole for live music, drinks, and dancing with friends under the night sky. This relaxed, outdoor event is always a big draw and serves as a highlight of the Medfield social calendar – and a great opportunity to fundraise for Medfield Public Schools. Come enjoy this chance to spend a special night out with a group of friends or neighbors, and to reconnect with other parents.

Ticket sales kick off this Saturday, September 23 at 10am online and at the MCPE booth at Medfield Day. Tickets are $50 each; availability is limited and this event typically sells out quickly. Drop by our booth to say hello and get your Fall Fest tickets before they sell out!
