Hello Dale Street Families,
Thank you for taking a minute to check in this week. It was another awesome week here at #beproudbedale. Take a look...
(Will be updated with new information when necessary)
This week, our fifth-grade students traveled to Boston and walked the Freedom Trail. Students had to opportunity to explore historical sites - ones they learned about in their recent studies.
On Thursday, the Medfield High School Class of 2022 participated in a Senior Walk around Dale Street. It was so great to have #beproudbedale alumni walking the halls. On behalf of the students and staff at Dale Street, best of luck in all of your future endeavors.
This week in Ms. Plympton's Grade 4 class, students participated in a project-based learning activity. How cool is this? Students were collaborating to design their own mini-golf courses!
Wednesday, June 8th will be Celtics Spirit Day. Wear GREEN to
support the Boston Celtics.
Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals! Thank you for making Dale Street such a great place!

Abby was recognized for being extremely kind, inclusive, and overall a good kid!. |

Lindsey was recognized for being a great role model and showing great perseverance. |
Please make sure all Dale Street Library books are returned to school ASAP. Thank you for your cooperation in making sure our library is ready for next year's students.
On Wednesday, the students and staff at Dale Street were treated to an engaging and energetic Hip Hop assembly. Their message...with perseverance and focus, you can reach your highest goals. Huge thanks to our amazing PTO for funding this great opportunity.
Positive Sign Thursday!
'WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS !'
Students in Mrs. Hayes' fifth-grade classroom paired creativity and math this week to create these awesome games.
Sean served as 'Principal for the Day' on Wednesday. This was a PTO auction item. Sean ran the school beautifully - I was lucky to have him!
Dale Street Field Day is scheduled for Thursday, June 9th (Rain Day, Friday, June 10th). Mrs. Nawrocki and Mrs. Laughna are planning an exciting day of activities for our 4th and 5th graders. Grade 4 will participate in Field Day during the morning (9:00 - 11:15) and Grade 5 will participate in the afternoon (12:00 - 2:15). Field Day will take place on the field between the Dale Street and Memorial Schools. Classes will have the opportunity to rotate through nine stations. Classes will rotate with their classroom. All activities will take place on the field and on the blacktop.
We have found it to be helpful to:
**have students wear comfortable clothes and sneakers on this day
**apply sunscreen before coming to school. Please provide more sunscreen for re-application.
**send children with a hat and extra water on this day.
Classes will be eating bagged lunches. Students may bring their own bagged lunch or purchase a bagged lunch (turkey and cheese wrap) from the cafeteria. Note: There will no other lunch options on this day.

On Tuesday, our rockstar Girls on the Run students participated in a practice 5k run. They have worked really hard and I am so proud of these awesome ladies!
Please save the date of Thursday, June 16th at 9:30 a.m. for Dale Street's Grade 5 Celebration. This year, the Grade 5 Celebration will take place on the basketball court outdoors and we are hoping for dry and nice weather. Grade 5 families are welcome and we are asking that all guests bring a lawn chair for seating in an area off the pavement. The health and safety of our students, their families, and the staff continue to be our number one priority. If there is inclement weather on this day, the celebration will be held in the gymnasium. If this is the case, we will only be able to welcome 2 guests per family for the celebration.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Steve
