May 13, 2022 - Week 34

 Hello Dale Street Families!

Wow - I can't believe we are already halfway through May!  This week was another week with a lot of awesome activities at #beproudbedale.  Take a minute to check out some of the scenes and be sure to check out some of the upcoming dates at the bottom of the blog.

Congratulations and thank you to Ms. Hayes' class for facilitating today’s SEL assembly. Students used the game Family Feud to highlight the importance of our school's Core Values. Amazing work, everyone!

Thank you to all the Dale Street families who came out to Family Literacy Night last evening.  There were so many amazing opportunities for the students and their families. Special thanks to Jamee Callahan for organizing such a great event, our fabulous PTO, the wonderful staff volunteers, and the many, many families who attended!

Congratulations to these Rockstar students for winning a raffle from Literacy Night!

Positive Sign Thursday!

This week we celebrated our incredible paraprofessionals. The work they do is invaluable.  Please join me in thanking them for their commitment, generosity, boundless energy, & the passion they bring to Dale Street each day.

On a visit to Ms. MacDonnell's fourth-grade classroom this week, I saw a room of engaged and excited students.  How does this happen?  Give them a chance to collaboratively review important math concepts by playing a game called the 'The Unfair Game.' Learning + Fun!

Please be sure to send your child with a reusable water bottle to school.  We have had a significant increase in the number of paper cups that are being used and supplies are running short.

In Ms. Sager's fifth grade class, it was smiles all around as students participated in the High Five experiment.  So fun!

The Dale Street PTO is excited to bring back Kids’ Night Out, with an indoor BEACH PARTY theme, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP...

Both events will be held in Dale’s cafeteria from 7-8:30 PM. Students will enjoy a DJ with dancing, Games in the Gym, Guess How Many, Trivia, Refreshments, and more. This is a drop-off event, but we need the help of many parents to ensure the evening runs smoothly. Please print and bring a completed copy of this permission slip on the evening of the event with $10 (cash or check payable to Dale PTO) to be paid at the door (no pre-registration).

Hi Medfield Families,

Like in past years, the PTO is partnering with 1st Day School Supplies to get all of your supplies for your student for the next school year.

The teachers have given us the supply list for each grade and 1st Day School Supplies will assemble and deliver them for your child.

All name-brand supplies will be packaged individually for your student.  Items will be shipped to the school and ready for your child on their first day.

Sign up now.  The sale closes July 1st!

Please be sure to select the school/grade your child will be entering in the fall.

This week, students in Mrs, Chamblin's fifth-grade class acted as scientists as they worked with chemical reactions and mixtures. Students took time to make observations of substances to recognize and describe how different substances have a unique set of properties.  So cool!

(Will be updated with new information when necessary)

Have a wonderful weekend,

Steve
