April 8, 2022 - Week 30

 Dear Dale Street Community,

Amazing week here at #beproudbedale!  I would like to commend our Grade 4 students who completed their ELA MCAS testing.  They were awesome!  Their MCAS testing was only one small part of our week.  Check out some of the wonderful scenes.....

Today, Grade 4 classes attended an assembly featuring Jack Fultz, Dana Farber team coach and former marathon winner.  Mr. Fultz talked about the importance of hard work and perseverance.  Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and they did did a great job!

Positive Sign Thursday!

'WE KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK!'

In PE this week with Mrs. Nawrocki, Dale Street fourth-graders were ready to present their gymnastics routines.

Mrs. Hayes' fifth-grade classroom and Mrs. Ross' and Mrs. Seaver's fifth-grade classroom were over the moon as they prepped for their new book clubs.  A huge thanks to our very generous PTO for funding a grant so Grade 5 teachers could create this awesome unit!

This letter was sent out to Grade 4 families offering parents the opportunity to share information about their child's for next year’s placement at Dale Street.  The information that you share will be used to assist me with the student placement process for the 2022 – 2023 school year.  When corresponding about placement, parents are asked to focus on the type of learning environment that best meets the strengths and needs of their child.  Please know that throughout the placement process our focus will be on placing your child in a classroom in which they will grow both academically and socially.  Parent input narratives should be sent in no later than Thursday, April 14th.  For other suggestions regarding the parent narrative, please see this slide deck which was shared during the Elementary Principals' Placement webinar on 3/30.

The 5th Grade Yearbook Cover Contest will be accepting entries until April 11th.  Click here for all the details and guidelines for entries. Be creative!.
