Happy Friday Dale Street Families,
What an amazing week here at #beproudbedale! Custodians worked tremendously hard to get furniture all set up, parent volunteers came in to lend a hand all while students and teachers continued to produce awesomeness in the Dale Street classrooms. Please take a minute to check out some of the sights and updates from this week.
The Tournament of Books competition continues! The winner will be announced before April vacation. The first vote is in the books and will be announced soon. Here are the voting dates:
- 3/19 Vote 1: Milo Imagines the World vs. Your Place in the Universe
- 3/26 Vote 2: We Are Water Protectors vs. Stand Up! Speak Up!
- 4/2 Vote 3: I Talk Like a River vs. The Stuff of Stars
- 4/9 Vote 4: Greta and the Giants vs. Outside In
- 4/12 Round 2 Vote 1
- 4/14 Round 2 Vote 2
- 4/16 Final vote, winner announced
This year's theme: 'The World Around Us.' The following books are in the competition:

The 5th Grade Yearbook Cover Contest will be accepting entries until April 9th. Click here for all the details and guidelines for entries. Be creative!
March 24th and March 31st will be half-day Wednesdays for ALL in-person learning students.
- Dale Street Students - 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Lunch will be from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Dismissal will begin at 12:30 p.m.
The Dale Street Math Challenge is on! Students are free to solve as many problems as they can and will have about a week to turn in their work. Students can hand in a hard copy of the challenge to the office or email it to Mrs. Perachi (bperachi@email.medfield.net) prior to the due date.

We will be holding the second day of virtual parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday, March 23rd from 12:00-3:30 p.m. These are early release days and students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Please be sure to update School Dismissal Manager to reflect your child's dismissal plans on these days.
**On Tuesday, March 30th, the Elementary Principals will be holding a webinar to discuss placement procedures for the 2021-2022 school year. Details to follow.
**On Tuesday, April 6th, there will be a parent webinar for the upcoming 5th grade health unit on adolescent changes. Details to follow.
Feeling stressed, down or anxious? Need to talk to someone about it? Medfield Outreach is offering drop-in hours. Check out this flyer for details.
We are encouraging all of our families who participate in drop-off at Dale Street to decorate their vehicles to add to the spirit and share in our excitement! Participation is optional.
