Happy Friday, Dale Street Families!
It was a fantastic and busy week here at Dale Street! It was great fun having students show up in their Halloween costumes on Tuesday! Here are some exciting things that took place this week along with some important information regarding upcoming events.
Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals!
Check out some of the Halloween fun from Tuesday morning. Special thanks to all of the volunteers who helped create a fun and exciting environment. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Wednesday, November 8th and Thursday, November 9th are early release days for teacher conferences. Students will be dismissed at 11:40 a.m. Please be sure to check School Dismissal Manager to see what your student’s dismissal plan is for those days. Unless you make a change, your student will be dismissed per their regular end-of-day plan. If you need to make a change, please do so before 10:30 a.m. on the day of early dismissal.
For those of you conferencing in person, please be sure to check out our Lost & Found display in the lobby for any items that may belong to your family. As a reminder, labeling your child’s items is strongly encouraged as it helps us to quickly return coats, hats, mittens, sweatshirts, and water bottles to their rightful owner. Thank you in advance.
On a visit to Mr. Douglas' fourth-grade class this week, students were engaged in math centers. So much great collaboration and math discussions were taking place!
Positive Sign Thursday!
'YOU ARE VALUED!'
Thank you to all of the students who have been completing the Math Challenges. Great job! The newest math challenge has been released. It is due November 15th. Students should turn all math challenges into the office. Before the weather totally changed, Grade 5 students previewed unit fractions by heading outdoors and using sidewalk chalk. So great to have fun while learning!
Congratulations to William in Ms. Burnham's fifth-grade class for being selected as November's Dale Street Artist of the Month!
Theatre Society to perform Grease, November 17-19
Grease travels all the way back to 1958, capturing a sugary and idealized view of teenhood in its early stages. Back when love, slumber parties, and prom were the main worries of many teenagers, it brings the audience back to simpler times. Guaranteed to spread a wave of nostalgia to an older audience, and a perception of hope and excitement to the younger audience. Fresh off their summer love, Danny and Sandy never thought they would see each other again. But when their paths cross again at Rydell High, cliques and popularity complicate everything.
Will Danny and Sandy be able to rekindle their love? Or should it all be left in the summer? The cast and crew of Medfield Theatre Society cordially invites you to join Danny and Sandy as they navigate their senior year at Rydell High School. Grease: School Version is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Condors Theatricals Company. www.concordtheatricals.com. Book, Music, and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey
Show dates: November 17 and 18 @7:00 PM, and November 19 @2:00 PM
Location: MHS Auditorium, 88 South Street, Medfield, MA
