Hello Dale Street Community!
It is hard to imagine, but we are nearly halfway through the school year and our students and staff are working very hard and making every day count. Take a look below to see some of the wonderful things that took place this week at #beproudbedale.
This week in Makerspace Grade 4 students learned about circuits using the Makey Makey. It is so great to see students think critically while collaborating!
Positive Sign Thursday!
'WE HAVE BIG DREAMS!'
On Thursday, students in Ms. Sager's 5th-grade class used time to work on their 'History and Me' project. Their work ethic was wonderful - I look forward to seeing their final projects.

Scientists at work! Grade 4 students in all classes spent time this week experimenting...trying to get a small lightbulb to light. These ROCKSTARS persevered and discovered what is needed! Great work, young learners!
On a visit to Mrs. Flynn's fourth-grade class this week, students were engaged in the beginning of their Greek Mythology unit. Students researched Greek gods and will select one and participate in a book group highlighting their selection.

MCPE is thrilled to revive several beloved events throughout 2022. The Grade 2-5 Spelling Bee will be held on March 24th at the high school auditorium. Students from Wheelock and students from Dale Street will form teams of four to compete against their classmates as they work to spell increasingly complex words. Hosted by beloved teachers, teams dress in themed costumes to add to the fun. This event is marvelous. M-A-R-V-E-L-O-U-S. Marvelous. Stay tuned for registration information! Finally, brush up on your obscure knowledge and dust off your party attire! We are eagerly looking forward to the return of both our in-person Trivia Night and the highly-anticipated Fall Ball! Details on both events will be released soon.
Tuesday, January 25th will be an early release day and students will be dismissed at 11:40 a.m. Please be sure to update School Dismissal Manager to reflect your child's dismissal plans on these days.
Thank you again for your continued support. Have a great weekend!
Best, Steve
