It sure got warm this week. However, #beproudbedale students and staff continued to participate in some amazing things. Take a look......
Ms. Isaacson's fourth graders spent time this week participating in writer's workshop. I love their philosophy..."the messier the drafts the better." Keep up the great work!
In Ms. Bertschmann's fifth grade classroom this week, students used the engineering design process to create maglev trains! So cool!
Park Street Books and MCPE have teamed up to help you with your spring bookshelf cleaning! Bring your gently used children's books to Park Street Books for resale, and they will make a donation to MCPE. Books in readable but not sellable condition will be donated to Children's Hospital. Win-Win-Win all around!
Has your child been impacted by a fantastic teacher this year? Show your appreciation by giving your child's teachers the tools they need to innovate! Make a tax-deductible Blue Ribbon Donation in any amount to the MCPE, and your designated teacher or staff member receives a personalized note acknowledging your appreciation of their skill and dedication. Blue Ribbon donations may be made throughout the year, but the deadline for delivery before the end of the school year is June 19. http://www.medfieldcoaliti on.org/events-programs/blue-ri bbon-program/
We are just about done with state testing at Dale Street. Grade 4 and Grade 5 completed all of the Math MCAS sessions this week (excluding those students who missed a math session). Grade 5 has two days of Science, Technology & Engineering next week - Monday, 5/22 and Tuesday, 5/23. I would like to recognize and commend the students and staff at Dale Street for working incredibly hard each day. We are very proud of you!
How can you integrate fidget spinners into a lesson......Mrs. Lowerre's class is creating a talk show debating the fidget spinner fad. Engaging!

Dale Street students will be honoring our veterans and those currently serving our country through music and remarks on Friday, May 26th. The program will be held outside (weather permitting) on the Dale Street side of the building. The program will begin at 8:45 a.m. and is expected to last approximately 30 minutes. Upon completion of the program, students will return with their teachers to their classrooms.
Join us for our first annual Pre-k ~ 5 Family Literacy Night. Browse a great selection of books at the Park Street Books book fair. Participate in a variety of literacy related activities. Click here for this week's flyer. And, in case you missed them, click here, and here, and here for the flyers from week's past. We hope you will join us for this exciting night! On Monday, some of our fourth and fifth graders took time to meet with representatives from Google to provide feedback on stylus Chromebooks students have been piloting. I'm sure you're not surprised to know that the students feedback was amazing!
